Let's encourage today's students to learn more about Delaware's Public Transit System

DART First State invites you to partner with us by participating in our
Annual Transit Theme Poster Contest

THIS YEAR'S THEME: "Celebrating 15 Years as DART". Students are asked to create an artistic poster celebrating DART's 15 years of service as Delaware's Public Transit system. Visit DartFirstState.com to get some ideas and view past contest entries.

ELIGIBILITY: Children in Grades 6 through 12.

SCHOOL/ORGANIZATION ROLE: Conduct the poster contest and forward student posters to DART First State by mail for judging. Use the poster theme/contest in your curriculum and classroom work if applicable.

THE POSTER: The poster must be created using colored pencils, crayons, paints, or markers. (No computer generated posters). The poster size is to be on 8.5" x 11" paper. Please include child's name, address, age, grade level, school/organization name and address, teacher/advisor name, and contact information on the reverse of the poster artwork board.

DEADLINE: Postmarked no later than March 26, 2010.

JUDGING & AWARDS: DART First State will judge the entries for originality, theme presentation, and artistic quality. A First Place winner will be chosen from each grade and from those winners, a Grand Prize Winner will be selected. Winning entries will be announced by April 12, 2010. All winners will receive an award certificate and gifts from DART First State's business partners. All entrants will receive a certificate of participation. All artwork becomes the property of DART First State and may be used in future advertising or promotional materials with appropriate credit to the artist.
